Curiosity, when combined with the devotion of time, leads to transformation… a profound metaphor for life.
Â
Weaving has become my language. I think with thread and write with form and colour, exploring complex ideas through this tactile and intimate process.
Â
The act of making is more than the creation of an object; it's about sharing a story, revealing my vulnerability, forging deep connections and most importantly, hoping to move others in a way that touches their hearts.
Â
This work honours the profound influence of the Moroccan landscape, people, and culture and the imprint they have left on my creative process.
Â
Using fibres from various countries and materials I’ve gathered, I weave… transforming these fibres into figures. I reflect on the women who have spun or dyed these fibres. I imagine their shared traditions and conversations; their energy lingers intertwined.
Â
Each figure carries not just its material history, but the lives, stories, and experiences of us all.Â
